I keep seeing bakers do it that way on Cupcake Wars. But frankly I don’t think my cupcake batter would ever be firm enough to do it that way. I usually just use two spoons, or else I use my piping gun if I want them completely perfect. 

Check out this fabulous Neapolitan Layer Cake on Sweetapolita. As soon as my oven is fixed (and my diet is over) I shall definitely have to find an occasion worthy of giving this one a go.
