Hi, I'm Laura. I'm 26, single and live in London. I love food, TV, movies and dinosaurs. I have a stegosaurus tattooed on my foot, and leaves on my hip. Chances are you'll find this blog full of fluffy baby animals, delicious cakes and random musings about my day. I also run and moderate:

As part of my get out of London at least once a month resolution, I was thinking about doing a day trip to Cardiff. I live right next to Paddington, so it's super easy. Is it worth it? What would you recommend doing there, or are they any neat events coming up?

I would say it’s definitely worth coming here for a day trip. Most of the good events (like the food festival) are in the summer, but there’s loads to do here all the time. The castle is really lovely to visit, and you can also do tours of the Millennium Stadium if you like sports (I’ve never done it but my parents said that it was great). The shopping here is also great, there are lots of lovely little boutiques and independent shops as well as all of the major stores. Plus we have great parks so if it’s a sunny day one of the nicest things to do is just go for a walk and a picnic.
